Rules for Participation


1- There shall be participation of one team from a University. Three singers, two musicians along with an in-charge will be allowed from one university.
2- Registration fee of a team is Rs. 2000/- A Demand Draft is to be drawn in favor of Finance Officer, AMU paid at Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh).
3- Registration fee is non-refundable.
4- Participant must be a bonafide student of the invited University.
5- Teams have to provide authorization letter along with identity proof on March 26, 2015 at the time of final registration.
6- The participants must be the students of graduation/Post graduation courses only.
7- The entrant team will be eligible for the first round only after selection in the audition.
8- The videos of all the singers (three) from a team should be sent through same mobile number or email ID, along with the information (Name, Class, University).
9- The team must submit filled registration form along with the scanned copy of Demand draft.
10- The participants have to upload a video in his/her voice (no music assistance/effects) of maximum one minute duration, and whatsapp that to +91-9045750085/+91-9760694117, or can also email it to secretaryuhmc@amu.ac.in (exceeding even a second over one minute video may lead to the cancellation of registration)
11- No entrant should have his/her own album released or has been launched as singer (elsewhere). The registration will be cancelled if any discrepancy, if found.
12- The selected participants will be notified separately. The videos will be judged by a panel of experts. No protest or objection with regard to the selection in the competition will be entertained.
13- It is the responsibility of the Cultural Head of the University to select three best singers in the team. Selection will be done on the basis of the videos sent to us, and intimation on the mailing address.
14- To and Fro traveling expenses will be borne by the participating University.
15- The host university will arrange for the boarding and lodging of the selected team from the evening of March 25, 2015 to the evening of March 28, 2015.
16- The female participants may be accompanied by female teacher incharge, who will be the guest of the host university and will be accorded the usual hospitality.
17- Entries for the participation in the competition may be sent as soon as possible or latest by 18th of March, 2015.
18- The selected participants will be notified personally.
19- Cash prizes for the winner and runner.
20- Trophy to the winning team.
21- All the participants will be awarded the certificate of participation on the Valedictory function i.e. on 28th of March 2015
22- Verdict of the judges will be final. No protest or objection with regards to either the decision or the procedure will be entertained.
23- Selection of song should be decent. No vulgarity in the songs will be accepted.
24- In case, the team needs to hire our musicians, the team will be charged separately.
25- All the participants must be decently dressed up.
26- Language of Songs: Hindi only.

Rounds of Competition:

1.    Self-Choice
2.    Hit Melodies from “50s to 80s”.
3.    Raga based songs (eg: songs based on Bhairvi, Bhopali, Darbari, Yaman, Malkauns, Bheemplasi, Des, Jaijwanti, Bahaar, Hhamaj, Miyan ki Malhar, dhurpad)-random pick.
4.    Judges’ Choice.
